Friends of John Wesley Powell

River History Museum

The museum is governed through a partnership between the the City of Green River and the John Wesley Powell River History Museum, Inc.,                         a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. 
The Board of Trustees voted to adopt the DBA Friends of John Wesley Powell River History Museum and a new mission statement in 2025. The organization supports the John Wesley Powell River History Museum by advocating for education, art, exploration, and storytelling, and by working to conserve and protect our community, our rivers, and our shared heritage, culture, and kinship.
