The Board of Trustees voted to adopt the DBA name of The Powell Trust: A Confluence of Communities and a new mission statement in May 2025. The Trust’s mission supports the John Wesley Powell River History Museum by advocating for education, art, exploration, and storytelling, and by working to conserve and protect our community, our rivers, and our shared heritage, culture, and kinship.
The museum is governed through a partnership between The Powell Trust, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and the City of Green River.
