The museum is governed through a partnership between the City of Green River and the John Wesley Powell River History Museum, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the mission of the museum. Both organizations work in concert to utilize limited resources and promote their shared mission. The museum’s Board of Directors oversees the strategic direction of the museum.
